As a CFP^® Certificant, you are required to obtain 2 CE credits in the Professional Responsibility category each year. QAFP^® Certificants only require 1 CE credit in this category.

If you have already obtained your Professional Responsibility credits for the current year, you can record the successful completion of PR courses as credits in the Financial Planning category.

Note that we have recently retired both of our Professional Responsibility Courses (Professional Practice 2022 Update and Dealing with Diminished Capacity). We are in the process of developing a new Professional Responsibility course for 2024, which we hope to release in late May. Note that FP Canada plans to issue updated Standards of Professional Responsibility in April 2024, to take effect in June 2024, and this will be covered in the updated course.
